This project was quite challenging, in that we originally had plans from the architect to create a small bath upgrade including a “Jacuzzi” tub and tearing out some wall to add space.
When we submitted out plans for permitting, we were told we couldn’t make the changes we wanted and had to re-submit. This detour created an opportunity to really expand the scale – opening up the small bathroom to include a small bedroom next to it.
What had been a problem at first turned into a great opportunity to make an even better master bathroom suite, with separate dressing area, tiled shower and corner Jacuzzi with glass tiles, lots of storage space in custom cherry cabinetry. Quite a wonderful space now!
